Our Story

With over 50 years of experience, each generation has leveraged its own commitment, passion, and vision. Together, we are building a future of success, shared growth, and new opportunities, with the same dedication and determination that have marked our journey to date.

1929

In the immediate post-war period, Alberto and Luigi Campagnolo started a joint venture dedicated to the fruit and vegetable trade, specializing in the retail sale of fruit and vegetables at the local market in Bassano del Grappa.

1934

The first truck was purchased, a Bianchi model, intended for transporting goods to local markets. During World War II, the vehicle was requisitioned by the army due to the shortage of heavy vehicles in the Vicenza area, and was used for military purposes.

1940

Luigi Campagnolo's first son, also named Luigi and known by the nickname "Corrado," joined the company.

1953

Carlo Campagnolo, the second son of the Campagnolo family, joined the family business. At that time, the company owned 2 trucks.

1959–1963

Carlo Campagnolo took on a central role in the logistics management of the business, also personally handling transport as a driver. In these years, thanks to market expansion, the company began its first fruit exports to Germany, Austria, and Holland.

1966

Alongside its export activities, the company also opened an import channel, focusing particularly on sourcing potatoes from Germany and Holland. During this period, the company's fleet reached 12 owned vehicles, demonstrating the growth and consolidation of its logistics operations.

1971

The VAT number was officially registered, and the Campagnolo Trasporti brand was born, thus marking the formal establishment of the company. This date represents the beginning of a structured journey in the world of transport, with the launch of the first operational activities and the setup of a logistics system destined to grow and consolidate over time.

1980

The company decided to discontinue its fruit export activities abroad, focusing resources and expertise on developing national transport and optimizing logistics services.

1992

Nuova generazione e governance

With the entry of Alberto Campagnolo, Carlo's eldest son, into the company, leading the traffic and transport division, a new phase of development began. Despite maintaining a contained size, the company had already established solid relationships with European markets. Alberto's arrival marks the beginning of a reorganization and growth process, aimed at strengthening international presence and optimizing logistics activities.

1995

Chiara's entry into the company marks a generational shift in the management of the area dedicated to potato commercialization and import. These activities were already well-established within the company, and Chiara inherits them, bringing new drive and vision with the aim of strengthening supplier relationships and expanding market opportunities.

1997

In that year, Fabio joined the company, taking responsibility for vehicle management and fleet organization. His role proved central to ensuring operational efficiency and coordination among the various logistics departments.

2000

The company entered the organized large-scale retail (GDO) sector, beginning to provide transport and logistics services for supermarkets. This new business area allowed the company to significantly expand its network and diversify the types of goods handled.

2007

Campagnolo Koper is established, a new strategic branch located in the heart of Ljubljana, marking the company's international expansion with the aim of consolidating its presence in foreign markets.

2008

The company enters the Austrian GDO market, signing a contract with the country's leading supermarket. Furthermore, the contract with the Spanish market is expanded, further strengthening the company's presence in international large-scale retail.

2010

Groupage operations to the markets of Italy, Austria, and Germany begin. Thanks to this development, the company's size grows, evolving from a small entity into a medium/large enterprise, capable of managing an increasingly larger and more diversified volume of operations.

2013

The company inaugurates a new operational base at Via Luigi Einaudi 33, featuring modern offices and larger facilities to support continuous growth and the strengthening of logistics and administrative operations.

2016

The fleet reaches 100 operational vehicles, confirming the company's solidity and competitiveness.

2020

The company further expands its network, entering the Greek market and developing the maritime sector, thus extending the international reach of its operations.
